In recent years, The College of Food Science & Technologyhas undertaken 178 national-level scientific research projects, including the National Key Research and Development Plan, the 973 Plan, the 863 Plan, the National Science and Technology Support Plan, and the International Science and Technology Cooperation Project, of which 144 are National Natural Science Foundation projects. There are one Key Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, one National Science Fund for Distinguished Young

Scholars of China. The total research funding reaches 290 million yuan. Besides, the school has won 2 National Science and Technology Progress Awards, 6 Jiangxi Provincial Natural Science Awards and 6 provincial and ministerial first prizes, 14 other provincial and ministerial scientific and technological achievements awards. There are 298 authorized invention patents, 1509 published papers, of which 746 SCI papers. There are 27 ESI highly cited papers, accounting for 44.26% of the total number of highly cited papers in Nanchang University. The school has cooperated with well-known companies such as Nestlé, COFCO, Yili, Jiangzhong, Huangshanghuang, Sunshine, etc. A batch of scientific research results have been industrialized, forming a scientific research pattern of integration of science and technology, agricultural and medical penetration, industry-university-research. The school provide resources and talents for technology development, personnel training, scientific research, and commercialization. The intellectual support from our school will become an impetus for innovation to help Jiangxi's economic and social development and achieve its rise in the central region.
